Schöne Ferienwohnung in toller Kulisse

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und für 4 Personen gut ausgestattet (Schirme, Strandstühle usw.) Auch die kleine Herausforderung „Parken“ war mit Francesca‘s Hilfe kein Problem. Auch bei allen anderen Dingen hilft sie gern und ist erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Wohnung liegt in einer Wohngegend, abseits der Tourismus-Ströme – das Zentrum ist aber fußläufig in nicht mal 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Wer gerne mit offenem Fenster schläft muss leider damit rechnen von Hundebellen aus der entfernten Nachbarschaft geweckt zu werden. Da es eine Klimaanlage gibt kann man die Fenster aber auch geschlossen halten und die wunderbare Dachterasse gleicht auch das wieder aus 🙂

Abbiamo passato piacevolmente le nostre vacanze in questa graziosa casa situata in una meravigliosa via caratteristica.
L’accoglienza è stata impeccabile come tutto il resto.
Punto forte della casa è il terrazzo da cui si gode una meravigliosa vista su una porzione della bella Scicli.

Casa accogliente e dotata di tutto ciò che serve (cucina, lavatrice, set da spiaggia); la terrazza in alto è un angolo di pace, bellezza e di sera è davvero fresca e consente di ammirare le stelle e la luna. Noi ci siamo stati in 4 per alcuni giorni e ci siamo sentiti davvero a casa.

This is a lovely home just a short walk from the center of town. The roof deck is wonderful – morning and night. Francesca and Luigi are very responsive. The place was spotless. AC is in the bedroom on the 2nd floor and a fan on the first floor. Scicli is a beautiful, vibrant town. Be sure to check out the little church in the rock mountain right behind the house. There is a small supermarket and best cannoli shop a short walk away and great restaurants in town. Enjoy! Highly recommend!

Scicli ist ein bezaubernder Ort, der zu einem längerem Aufenthalt mit vielseitigen Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten einlädt – Kultur, Natur, Sandstrände und vieles mehr.
Das wunderbare und qualitätsvoll renovierte Haus von Francesca ist der ideale Ausgangsort, um diesen Teil Siziliens kennenzulernen und zu genießen. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben und werden gerne wieder kommen.

In brief: highly recommended, very good value for money Francesca and Luigi’s place is a spotlessly clean little house, and actually bigger than the pictures might indicate. Especially nice is the sleeping area on the gallery with the terrace in front, perfect for breakfast and dinner. Francesca and Luigi’s provide a sound collection of travel guides on Italy and brochures about basically every point of interest in the near and not so near vicinity, so that the house is the perfect strategic location for day trips to Noto, Modica, Ragusa and beyond, or the nearby beaches. Don’t forget, though, to explore beautiful Scicli, which is exceptionally charming at night when the entire Centro Storico is flooded in warm light and the Piazzas, restaurants and bars are filled with mostly local people.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Piedegrotta. The lovely house was well located in a beautiful and atmospheric old neighbourhood and walking distance to the sights and tastes of Scicli. The house was well equipped, the bed comfortable, and the roof top terrace was an added joy. Francesca was a wonderful host. She welcomed us, gave us a great overview of the town’s history, advised us on places to but food, enjoy a range of dining, and was responsive to our needs. She couldn’t be nicer. We were sad to leave, but we are looking forward to coming back.

Das Apartment sieht ‘in echt’ genau so toll aus wie auf den Fotos. Hier wird das Moderne mit den historischen Mauern geschmackvoll miteinander verbunden. Es ist super sauber, die Gegend ist angenehm ruhig, man findet leicht einen Parkplatz und Francesca gibt tolle Tipps für Scicli und die Umgebung. Wir wären gern länger geblieben 🙂

Deliziosa ed accogliente casetta a due passi dal centro e da San Bartolomeo

Deliziosa casetta in una zona affascinante e catatteristica del bellissimo paese di Scicli, molto tranquilla ma a 2 passi a piedi dal centro – non abbiamo praticamente usato la macchina.
Del nostro soggiorno durante un caldo weekend di maggio abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la piacevole frescura della casa, il terrazzino con vista, la doccia con immediata fruibilità dell’acqua calda e un bel soffione grande e perfettamente funzionante, la pompa di calore in grado di riscaldare o raffreddare l’ambiente in pochi minuti. I padroni di casa ci hanno accolto con grande disponibilità, gentililezza e simpatia, dandoci ottimi consigli su cosa vedere e su dove mangiare (da non perdere un pranzo/cena con cucina tipica siciliana all’Osteria del Ponte, un’ottima pizza a Piazza Busacca da Granifero, un aperitivo nei tavolini del Take it Easy in via Mormino Penna e una cena gourmet a base di pesce da Baqquala). Se tornassimo a Scicli sicuramente sceglieremmo di alloggiare nuovamente al C’era una volta Scicli!
